On October 21, 2006, Environment Canada, Health Canada, Natural Resources Canada and Transport Canada jointly published a
Notice of intent to develop and implement regulations and other measures to reduce air emissions. As part of this action plan, the Minister of Health will develop a priority list of indoor contaminants in consultation with provincial and territorial health departments and key stakeholders. Health risk assessments of the priority contaminants will be used to guide decisions on the development of indoor air quality guidelines and, if necessary, regulations on products that emit pollutants into indoor environments.
